Scholar Squad: Creating Effective Data Visualizations (VIRTUAL) Online

Data visualization is a key part of communicating information. Learn about common types of visualizations, and when to use them to best communicate information. This class will give examples of different chart types and will discuss basic design principles and common pitfalls when creating visualizations. This session will also include a demo of creating different visualizations in Tableau Public.This session will be led by Katie Pierce Farrier, Data Science Strategist with the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Region 3.

Scholar Squad is OU-Tulsa's informal support group for those interested/involved in research and other scholarly activities. Scholar Squad meetings are held monthly and are open to all at OU-Tulsa, including faculty, staff, students, and residents.
